Mountaineers Improve to 2-0 in the KIAC

The Mountaineers faced the Eutectics of St. Louis College of Pharmacy at Seabury Arena and dominated the entire game resulting in an 89-43 victory for the Mountaineers. Berea College shot 34-69 (.493) from the field including 11-21 (.524) from the three-point line and 10-19 (.526) from the free throw line. The Mountaineers outrebounded Pharmacy 54-34.

Berea College had many contributions in the victory led by Rudy Evans' 22 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. Derek Davis knocked in 14 points including 4-6 from the three-point line. Trey Congleton was the last Mountaineer in double figures with 11 points and grabbed a team-high 8 rebounds. Josh Clark had a solid game with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Joey King contributed a career-high 9 points to the win. Other Mountaineers in the scoring column were Kevin Burrus and Brad McIntosh with 7 points, Ardell Wheeler scoring 5 points and grabbing 7 rebounds, Chase Wofford with 3 points and Branden Raider had 2 points.

The Mountaineers move to 11-7 overall and 2-0 in the KIAC. Next up for Berea College is Asbury University on Tuesday, January 18th at 7:30 pm at Seabury Arena.
