The Mountaineers of Berea College came into this season’s homecoming game with a 3-1 record and improved on that record to 4-1 with a 76-73 victory over Shawnee State University Saturday, November 13th. The Mountaineers at halftime had a 39-34 lead and would hold on for the victory. The Mountaineers had four players score in double figures and were led by Darrin Dorsey’s 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 steal performance. Dorsey was 9-16 from the field including 4-8 from the 3-point line. Rudy Evans was the team’s leading rebounder and assist man with 9 board and 5 assists and also had 14 points in the contest. Josh Clark contributed 12 points and 5 rebounds to the Mountaineer victory. Chase Wofford’s stat line consisted of 11 points, 8 rebounds, and a team-high 6 steals.
Next game is Tuesday, November 16th at 7:00 pm as the Mountaineers welcome the Blue Raiders of Lindsey Wilson College to Seabury Arena.
